Climate Equipment and Distributing
Albuquerque, NM - July 21, 2003 -
Climate Equipment and Distributing, of Albuquerque NM, offers a
new product, the OdorHog
TM
(manufactured by A&M Bio-Filter)
that eliminates sewer or septic odors from plumbing vents.
"Sewer gas" (hydrogen sulfide and methane) originating in septic
tanks is absorbed by the charcoal filter in the OdorHog
TM
device
which installs on the vent pipe on the roof.
"Typically plumbers, when presented with the septic odor problem,
will attach a vent pipe 'extension' to get the gases up higher
into the air, hoping that the wind will disperse them", states
Steven Grabiel of A&M Bio-Filter.
"That usually doesn't work. Moreover, those gases can be harmful
to the environment and should be eliminated, not dispersed into
the air. Temperature inversions and downdrafts off hills often
bring those gases back down to the yard."
"The solution is simple: OdorHog
TM
filters slip over the existing
vent pipe on the roof."
Climate owners Arlen and Brock Janke believe the product will
complement their current line of cooling equipment, sheet metal
supplies and heating equipment. OdorHog
TM
can be seen and purchased
at their showroom.
