  What's the difference between standard and clamp-on stretch-fit?  
Regular models have hard plastic "hub" that fits snugly over standard PVC/ABS. No tools needed. Use your hands to fit it tightly to vent pipe. Stretch-fit clamp-on models have "no-hub" rubber connectors that are clamped down on a cast-iron pipe or non-standard size PVC/ABS vent pipe. Use a 5/16" wrench or nut-driver to tighten clamp screw.

If the homeowner is experiencing an odor that originates from inside the house, the problem is most likely a plumbing problem. The OdorHog Vent Pipe Filter will not fix that kind of problem. The OdorHog will only eliminate odors that originate at the vent stack on the roof.
